Vitaly Yermolayev Vitaly Yermolayev was born in Kazan. He was educated at the Kazan Art School and College of Art. He graduated the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1973. Mr. Yermolayev also studied at the Department of Design of the Latvian Academy of Arts. The know-how of the artist is the presentation of paintings in the dynamics of lighting. The unique effect of INNER LIGHT is the changing of color and content of paintings depending on changes in lighting. When exposed to a special light source a volume effect is reached, his works produce an effect of luminescence with an “internal painting” appearing from below the surface one. Unusual paintings are requires new forms of display, which led to the establishment of the Theatre of luminous paintings, where the main actors is a picture in changing lighting, music and recorded narrator’s voice. The first exhibition of fluorescent art took place in May, 2000 in the Rigas’ gallery Ŗadisson SAS “Daugava-Templis”. Vitaly Yermolayevs’ name is included in the site of the Latvian artists, recognized by the Board of Latvian Creative Unions, Latvian Ministry of Culture: www.kultura.lv/fr/links In 2004 a permanent gallery –Theatre of ART Residence INNER LIGHT, was opened in the Latvian resort Jurmala. There are a lot of publications and references concerning this Theatre. The most common response of tourists from different countries is: “We have never seen such art before!” Starting with the year of 2005 the gallery became one of the places of interest of Jurmala town. |
